"Do you remember how we met?" A tired smile hung on Allen's lips, his head resting on the crook of Kanda's neck. The long fingers of his boyfriend raked through his snowy white hair.

"How could I forget? The stupid gate just shouted you're an intruder. Seriously, moyashi. You're a trouble maker." The Japanese man sighed. He felt his energy leaving his body, and it was probably the same with Allen too.

Was it time?

Their hands were interlaced together, and they felt their blood pooling below them. "And my first mission was with you. It was terrible."

"You were emotional on that." Allen delivered a playful smack on Kanda's lap, but even so, that small action that was so easily done was taking up so much effort now. "It's almost up. For me. What about you?"

Tears cascaded down his pale skin when he heard Kanda's words. "Almost too. I can't believe everything would end like this."

Of fighting every single day. Of fearing about their comrades' safety. These worries and feelings were going to disappear now.

They were now slowly disappearing from the surface of the Earth.

"Finally we get some peace for ourselves." That was the last sentence Allen said. Kanda bent down, capturing Allen's cold lips with his equally cold ones. "I love you, wait for me."

With that, the older boy drifted off to an eternal sleep, with his lover in his arms, already waiting for him.

For once, it was peaceful for them.
